We awoke Friday to a world buried under inches of snow.<\/p>\n<p>Check out these <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/photos\/kapgar\/311964876\/\">before<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/photos\/kapgar\/311964886\/\">after<\/a> pictures from Flickr that I found of Naperville&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.napervilleriverwalk.com\/\">Riverwalk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My plans for that day to drive into the city for <a href=\"http:\/\/myspace.com\/thedawningplace\">The Dawning Place Open Mic<\/a> and spend time with friends were completely trashed, since the highways were clearly unsafe.  My mother and I ended up spending the day cooking together like we did when I was young.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday night was wonderful.  Thanks to everyone who made it out here to my going-away party, I really appreciate it.
