My brain is trying to rapidly absorb all of the information I need to learn at my new job. Coming in at a higher level means learning <em>all<\/em> the things very fast. When you add in a longer commute (I went from 10 minutes to over an hour each way) and a continuous to-do list&#8230;well, it means that I am still playing catch-up. But I love being an event coordinator and this is what I am meant to be doing.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Apples by Sholeh, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sholeh\/10218898375\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Apples\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7310\/10218898375_889d3eb79e_n.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We finally settled on Halloween costumes (of course I won&#8217;t tell you until AFTER Halloween) and some friends and I are throwing a little shindig on Halloween. I was looking for parties for adults that don&#8217;t involve alcohol, and it turns out that they are either really hard to find, or they don&#8217;t exist. So we&#8217;re doing our own last-minute party.<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to take advantage of the fall food and festivities&#8230;did some pumpkin-carving and pumpkin pie baking with family last night, and am spending most of my Sundays preparing food for the week so we don&#8217;t have to cook lunches and dinners.<\/p>\n<p>Happy October!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The whirlwind hasn&#8217;t stopped.
