{"id":1823,"date":"2009-07-28T23:37:17","date_gmt":"2009-07-29T05:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sholeh.calmstorm.net\/blog\/?p=1823"},"modified":"2009-07-28T23:37:17","modified_gmt":"2009-07-29T05:37:17","slug":"my-new-camera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sholeh.calmstorm.net\/blog\/archives\/1823","title":{"rendered":"My new camera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After several years of desperately wanting a digital SLR camera, I finally gave in and bought a Canon EOS 1000D.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sholeh\/3763355157\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"City on Fire (Chicago skyline)\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2553\/3763355157_6e679693cc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am having fun, and I actually do carry it everywhere with me.\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately I haven&#8217;t had a chance to take a ton of photos and really play with the camera, but I&#8217;m learning slowly, and luckily I&#8217;m surrounded by some patient photography-inclined friends who are willing to explain things to me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sholeh\/3767509691\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2442\/3767509691_a0ae890a94.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m loving what I can do with these close-up shots, I took a whole series of photos at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.garfield-conservatory.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Garfield Park Conservatory<\/a> the other day (which, by the way, is fantastic, and FREE).\u00c2\u00a0 It was a bee day, so there were people explaining bees, little kids running around, and honey tasting.<\/p>\n<p>My problem is now that my photos are often better than they used to be, so I have trouble deciding which ones to post.\u00c2\u00a0 I want to post all of them!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After several years of desperately wanting a digital SLR camera, I finally gave in and bought a Canon EOS 1000D.
