{"id":1083,"date":"2008-02-26T11:18:04","date_gmt":"2008-02-26T09:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sholeh.calmstorm.net\/blog\/archives\/1083"},"modified":"2008-03-21T01:19:08","modified_gmt":"2008-03-20T23:19:08","slug":"an-observation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sholeh.calmstorm.net\/blog\/archives\/1083","title":{"rendered":"An observation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Music in department stores is the same, no matter where in the world you are.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As I wandered the one department store at one of the malls in Haifa last night with a friend, I realized that the piped-in music floating through the store was the same brand of Americana middle-aged-woman-friendly <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Middle_of_the_road\" target=\"_blank\">chintz<\/a> that haunts shoppers in stores across the country back home.<\/p>\n<p>And it has followed me to Israel!<\/p>\n<p>Also, department store dressing rooms are exactly the same, too.
