Chalk up another similarity. I had the most beautiful side porch all to myself when I rented an apartment in Knoxville during school. The Victorian house, built in the 1880s, had been sectioned off into units around 1913. For two years I sat out there on the lazy boy, reading, napping, watching the world go by while roses climbed up the porch rails each season. Now my back porch is screened in from the mosquitos and surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. And you're just as welcome to come study here. :)
